As you all know,it seems like a millenium since I wrote my last blog for all of you to read.
It is not because of the fact that I did not have anything to wrote about, but due to the fact that, like so many of you,are sometimes so caught up in your daily activites such as perhaps going to your job occupations to put a roof over your head, put food on the table, paying for your bills ansd whatever else have you, then I'm sure many of you can understand what I am talking about.
However,in my case,I have been so extremely busy with my several contributions and activites being involved with several promotions/organizations along the Gulf Coast independent wrestling circuit traveling along across the highways and byways of the Gulf Coast on a weekly basis,I really have not had hardly enough time to sit down and write upon this blog of mine,B SPIDEY'S WEB.
That was, until now and I couldn't have chosen a more appropiate time than right now to talk about my latest blog;especially something,or rather should I say, someone that is very near and dear to my heart and that has very symbolic and special significance since my younger days growing up as a child and still,to this day,has had an impact and a major influence in my life to the likes others have never, ever known.
In a matter of days,we are coming close to a major worldwide motion picture release of immense and bombastic proportions;a date that I have had circled on my calendar for the last 2 years or so.
YES!My and pretty much everyone's favorite wall-crawling,web slinging arachnid-like superhero is back on the silver screen once again to do what he does best.....saving the world (or in this case,New York City) from the forces of evil and kicking major maximum ass in doing so!
For those of you who have yet to figure out who or as to what I am talking about,it is none other than my favorite superhero of them all,THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
and the name of the cinematic blockbuster is SPIDER-MAN 3.
Just in case for those of you that might have NEVER ever picked up and read a comic book in your life or has been sleeping under a rock for the last 4 and 1/2 decades not knowing who in the world SPIDER-MAN is?
Well,here goes:
Spider-Man (Peter Benjamin Parker) is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee (pictured below):
and the more oftimes than naught very reclusive Steve Ditko .
Since his incarnation and first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 back in August of 1962, he has become one of the world's most popular, enduring and commercially successful superheroes.
In his first appearance, teenager Peter Parker is introduced as being bitten by a radioactive spider during a science demonstration.
From that spider-bite,the young teenage high school student Parker gained the abilities and the proportinate powers of an arachnid;which those formentioned powers consists of superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, ability to stick to solid surfaces, clairvoyant "spider-sense" to warn him of imminent, pending danger, night vision, healing factor, toxic stingers that extend from his forearms and the ability to produce organic AND synthetic spider-webbing.
Awash with emotion and the reminder eminating within his mind, heart and soul by Uncle Ben's words that "with great power comes great responsibility", a super hero concerned for the moral right is born.
Learning that with great power comes great responsibility, Spider-Man became a purveyor of good and a vigilante for justice.
As he battles his enemies for the first time, Parker finds juggling his personal life and costumed adventures difficult, even attempting to give up.
managing to kill Spider-Man's girlfriend and very 1st true love,Gwen Stacy (whom ironically is one of the characters featured in the SPIDER-MAN 3 movie) .
When Spider-Man first saw print in the 1960s, teenage characters in superhero comic books were usually sidekicks;for example the DC Comics superhero Robin The Boy Wonder being Batman's sidekick.
Stan Lee,the series creator, told ABC news that the film was even better than the original comic book series.
Spider-Man came and broke the 'god-like' mold of other super heroes.
He was the 'everyman' that readers could relate to.Most guys could identify with his shyness and awkward actions around girls. He is a human hero with much vulnerability, but he still goes after the villains.
In the upcoming motion picture which will debut in movie theatres across the "web filled, web spun" universe on May 4th,Tobey Maguire reprises his role as Peter Parker, photographer of the New York metropolitan newspaper publication,The Daily Bugle
as he maintains to make ends meet while trying his best to maintain a semblance for normal life while at the same time he saves The Big Apple from the prevolent forces of evil as his superhero alter-ego,Spider-Man.
In the 3rd film to the comic book character based saga,Spider-Man has finally managed to strike a balance between his love and devotion to the woman that he has been infatuately in love with since his grade school days a young child, but until now was too timid at first to show his love and affection for her,Mary Jane Watson;whom is portrayed in the recurring role of the film by actress Kirsten Dunst,
and his duties as a superhero.
But there is a storm brewing on the horizon.
When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S SOME MORE DRAMA TO THIS PLOT!
Captain George Stacy tells Peter and his aunt May of new evidence. The evidence implicates Flint Marko (Sandman) as Uncle Ben's "real" killer.
Peter gets extremely angry at this, complaining "This man killed my uncle, and he's still out there!", and sets out to hunt Marko as Spider-Man.
In one battle, when confronted by Spider-Man about Ben's death, Sandman asks him "What does it matter to you anyway?!", to which Spider-Man responds "Everything!", this may or may not implicate that Sandman may or may not have known who Uncle Ben was, as Peter mentions him by name.
The Sandman,as portrayed in the motion picture by actor Thomas Haden Church
is a super villian that possesses super-human strength & the ability to convert or part his body into sand-like substance by mental command.
Harry Osborn is the son of the late multi-millionaire Norman Osborn.
The serum not only enhanced his strength, but it also made him mentally unstable and insanely mad.
When Spidey and Goblin had their back and forth donnybrook,Gobby revealed himself to Peter that he was Norman Osborn.
If the name Topher Grace sounds familiar to all of you,it should considering that from 1998 until 2005,he played the role of Eric Foreman on the very popular situation comedy television series That 70's Show.
Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves.
So that is the set-up for the movie SPIDER-MAN 3.
IF ANY OF YOU EVEN THINK FOR ONE MINUTE THAT I AM NOT READY FOR THIS COMING FRIDAY,MAY 4TH AND THE UPCOMING THEATRICAL RELEASE OF SPIDER-MAN 3 ,THEN ALL OF YOU REALLY NEED TO GO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST AND OUGHT TO BE WRAPPED UP IN A STRAIT JACKET AND PUT IN A RUBBER ROOM IN THE PSYCH WARD!!!
SO YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING AND ARE GOING TO ASK ME THIS ONE QUESTION.....WHY DO I LOVE AND ADMIRE SPIDER-MAN SO MUCH?????
Spider-Man was ALWAYS a favorite of mine growing up--I was a fan of the comic book series and the many cartoon series that has been shown on television throughout the years.
Pretty much,I was a lot like other kids while growing up that had a favorite superhero or two that could wish for one day to be that superhero and do the many wonderful things that they did,to go out and save the world, even though despite the fact that it was all make believe.
When you watched them on TV or read their comic book, when they were fighting crime,it was like as if you were right along with them.
You couldn't help yourself but to be so caught up in the escapism and the adventure!
Also,I have a massive collection of action figures, comic books, video tapes and DVDs of pretty much all the animated TV series incarnations and motion pictures adaptions, video games and a (over)abundance of T-shirts of the arachnid-like superhero.
Basically,ANYTHING THAT HAS THE LIKENESS OF SPIDEY ON IT.....NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.....I GOT IT!!!
YES!I WILL ADMIT!I WAS A FAN OF THE LIVE-ACTION TELEVISION SERIES that was on CBS from 1977 until 1979!
In many different ways,Spidey and I have a lot in common in regards to going through the every day grind of trials and tribulations,up and downs and being constantly put down and knocked down both verbally and physically just for doing the right thing and for everything that is right and good.
"I get knocked down,
