Results from the July 15th AWF Chipley show

I want to thank Buttonman for inviting me to his house yesterday and helping me get started on my blog.I also want to thank him for taking me to the AWF show in Chipley and back safe and sound.
The show took place at the non air-conditioned T.J. Roulhac Center rather than the very cool, very comfortable air conditioned bulding. But,despite the unbearable, adverse and sauna-like conditions, the wrestling action was just as hot!

Here are the results from the show:
MATCH #1:
Backdraft defeated David Prime.Prime brought in a steel chair to hit Backdraft, but BackDraft ducked,Prime missed the chair shot and instead Prime's chair hit the ring ropes and the chair ricocheted back to Prime's head knocking him unconscious. It was a simple cover and a very easy victory for Backdraft. After the match, they played "The Star Spangled Banner",our country's national anthem as Backdraft holding Old Glory high stood over the fallen and unconscious David Prime as the song was playing.

MATCH #2/Match for the vacant Southern States Heavyweight Championship: GhostFace (managed by Eddie G.) defeated Chaz as GhostFace, who was unmasked at match's end to be revealed to the AWF Chipley crowd as "The Big Deal" Ryan Holland won the match with a reverse DDT.

MATCH #3:
"THE SYMBOL OF VIOLENCE" Jon Ryker and Johnny 8-Ball defeated "Grease Monkey",excuse me, JunkYard Joe and Shane Youngblood managed by Eddie G.
Ryker reversed an Irish Whip by Shane Youngblood and Eddie G.,who at that time had his back turned and thinking that he was tripping up Jon Ryker, instead tripped up Shane Youngblood as he went down face first knocking him out cold.Ryker covered Youngblood and hooked his leg for the 1-2-3.

MATCH #4:
Two members of THE CANADIAN CARTEL,Mr. Fantasy and Chris Tighe(with David Prime and Sexy Samantha) defeated the team of Andrew Anderson and Dixie Dynamite.

Before the match started,"The Sexy One" sang a rendition of "O
Canada",the Canadian national anthem despite the constant barrage of
very loud and boisterous boos from the Chipley,FL crowd.

Not too terribly long ago,Mr. Fantasy made a very pitiful, horrible, pathetic attempt
to sing the Canadian national anthem. His cattle walling nearly broke every window in the T.J. Roulhac Center.Good Lord!Where were my freakin' earplugs when I needed them.Believe me,his attempt was bad.....VERY,VERY BAD!Needless to say,Sexy Samantha's rendition fared no better.I tell you,if these two ever attempted to
sing either on American Idol or on It's ShowTime at The Apollo, both of them would have been ceremoniously booed off the stage.Even that clown that appears in the Apollo would have given both of them the hook, trust me!

This was a very good match-up between these two teams. As the match started,at first it seemed that the team of Dynamite and Anderson seemed to had the upper hand in this match leaving the Canadian Cartel discombobulated in the early going. But,it was soon to be short lived as Fantasy and Tighe took control of this match and
man,did they ever take control!Even David Prime and The Sexy One got
involved in this match-up when the referee's back was turned.Prime
choked put Anderson on the bottom ring apron and soon after Sexy
Samantha slapped the taste out of his mouth with a hard, vicious slap
to his face.

Near the end of the match, the momentum all of a sudden shifted to the
Dynamite/Anderson team. But strength in numbers and simply just too
much Canadian Cartel to go around.Tighe and Fantasy threw out Andrew
Anderson in the waiting hands of David Prime as he bagan to pummel
him unmercilessly outside the ring. Then they did the same to Dixie
Dynamite.

Mr. Fantasy finished off Dixie Dymanite in a very dominating
and very unique fashion.Mr. Fantasy picked up Dixie Dynamite into a Northern Lights suplex position,a Scott Hall's Razor's Edge if you will, released him and caught him in a devastating Diamond Cutter! In the immortal words of the late, great ring commentator Gordon Solie "WOOWWWW!" or in this case as Gordon would have said when Dixie Dynamite got laid out "OOOOO!".This particular move Mr. Fantasy called "Final Fantasy".

Then Fantasy tagged Chris Tighe.Tighe climbed on the top rope and came off it with a flying swanton down on Dixie Dynamite.Tighe covered and hooked his leg for the 1-2-3 victory. Then the onslaught by the Canadian Cartel began.Chris Tighe went outside, grabbed a chair and hit andrew Anderson with a steel chair.Inside the ring, the Canadian Cartel got their Canadian Maple Leaf flag and parted Dixie Dynamite's head like the Red Sea as his face and head was a crimson mask after taking a shot to the head by the Canadian Cartel and their Canadian flag.

MATCH #5:
T-Bolt (with Selina) defeated "Gorgeous" Glenn Cortez (with Eddie G.).T-Bolt dropped Cortez's head like a bad habit with a brainbuster.T-Bolt covered Cortez and hooked his leg for the 1-2-3.

T-Bolt won the battle, but not the war as all the men of Eddie G.'s Stable (JunkYard Joe,Shane Youngblood and "The Big Deal" Ryan Holland) ran in and ambushed T-Bolt.AWF Champion Dan Delicious ran in to help T-Bolt,but there was one too many members in the Eddie G. Stable to overcome and they all attacked and pummeled Dan Delicious as well. The men of Eddie G.'s Stable threw T-Bolt over the top rope and onto to arena floor as well as Dan Delicious, not to mention their so-called on the take, hip pocketed referee that was donning a white,Mil Mascaras type mask.

MATCH #6/MAIN EVENT:
Dorrian defeated AWF Heavyweight Champion Dan Delicious in a non-title match. The referee was knocked out near the end of the match.David Prime ran in to ambush Dan Delicious. Then T-Bolt ran in to help Dan Delicious by attempting to take out David Prime. But,Prime reaching into this tights, pulled out some powder and threw it into T-Bolt's eyes thus blinding him.Dan Delicious came to T-Bolt in an attempt to help him,but T-Bolt,who was still blinded, grabbed Dan Delicious and hit him with a powerbomb.Dorrian threw out T-Bolt and covered the unconscious AWF Champion for the cheap 1-2-3 victory.

Following the match, the AWF Champion went outside the ring to help out T-Bolt to see if he was O.K.It turned out that T-Bolt was O.K. and the two embraced each other.

Next show is Saturday,August 12th at HOPEFULLY in the air conditioned building next door to the T.J. Roulhac Center.Belltime is 8:00 PM. BE THERE!!!
