To all those that don't believe that I'm not ready for SPIDER-MAN 3 on Friday,May 4th,2007.....YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY F@#*ING CRAZY!!!!

GREETINGS,WEBHEADS !!!

As you all know,it seems like a millenium since I wrote my last blog for all of you to read.
It is not because of the fact that I did not have anything to wrote about, but due to the fact that, like so many of you,are sometimes so caught up in your daily activites such as perhaps going to your job occupations to put a roof over your head, put food on the table, paying for your bills ansd whatever else have you, then I'm sure many of you can understand what I am talking about.

However,in my case,I have been so extremely busy with my several contributions and activites being involved with several promotions/organizations along the Gulf Coast independent wrestling circuit traveling along across the highways and byways of the Gulf Coast on a weekly basis,I really have not had hardly enough time to sit down and write upon this blog of mine,B SPIDEY'S WEB.

That was, until now and I couldn't have chosen a more appropiate time than right now to talk about my latest blog;especially something,or rather should I say, someone that is very near and dear to my heart and that has very symbolic and special significance since my younger days growing up as a child and still,to this day,has had an impact and a major influence in my life to the likes others have never, ever known.

In a matter of days,we are coming close to a major worldwide motion picture release of immense and bombastic proportions;a date that I have had circled on my calendar for the last 2 years or so.

YES!My and pretty much everyone's favorite wall-crawling,web slinging arachnid-like superhero is back on the silver screen once again to do what he does best.....saving the world (or in this case,New York City) from the forces of evil and kicking major maximum ass in doing so!

For those of you who have yet to figure out who or as to what I am talking about,it is none other than my favorite superhero of them all,THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

and the name of the cinematic blockbuster is SPIDER-MAN 3.

Just in case for those of you that might have NEVER ever picked up and read a comic book in your life or has been sleeping under a rock for the last 4 and 1/2 decades not knowing who in the world SPIDER-MAN is?

Well,here goes:

Spider-Man (Peter Benjamin Parker) is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee (pictured below):

and the more oftimes than naught very reclusive Steve Ditko .

Since his incarnation and first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 back in August of 1962, he has become one of the world's most popular, enduring and commercially successful superheroes.

In his first appearance, teenager Peter Parker is introduced as being bitten by a radioactive spider during a science demonstration.

From that spider-bite,the young teenage high school student Parker gained the abilities and the proportinate powers of an arachnid;which those formentioned powers consists of superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, ability to stick to solid surfaces, clairvoyant "spider-sense" to warn him of imminent, pending danger, night vision, healing factor, toxic stingers that extend from his forearms and the ability to produce organic AND synthetic spider-webbing.

He gains his powers and at first attempts to become a TV star.

He fails to stop a thief, and weeks later the same criminal kills his Uncle Ben.

Awash with emotion and the reminder eminating within his mind, heart and soul by Uncle Ben's words that "with great power comes great responsibility", a super hero concerned for the moral right is born.
Learning that with great power comes great responsibility, Spider-Man became a purveyor of good and a vigilante for justice.

As he battles his enemies for the first time, Parker finds juggling his personal life and costumed adventures difficult, even attempting to give up.

In the past, enemies throughout Spider-Man's history have constantly endangered his loved ones. Such as was the case in issues #121-122 of The Amazing Spider-Man with the Green Goblin

managing to kill Spider-Man's girlfriend and very 1st true love,Gwen Stacy (whom ironically is one of the characters featured in the SPIDER-MAN 3 movie) .

When Spider-Man first saw print in the 1960s, teenage characters in superhero comic books were usually sidekicks;for example the DC Comics superhero Robin The Boy Wonder being Batman's sidekick.

The Spider-Man series broke ground by featuring a hero who himself was an adolescent, to whose "self-obsessions with rejection, inadequacy, and loneliness" young readers could relate.

Spider-Man has since appeared in various media including several animated and live-action television series, syndicated newspaper comic strips and a successful series of films.
Marvel has published several Spider-Man comic book series and the Peter Parker/Spider-Man character has developed a lot through the years.

Stan Lee,the series creator, told ABC news that the film was even better than the original comic book series.

Spider-Man came and broke the 'god-like' mold of other super heroes.

He was the 'everyman' that readers could relate to.Most guys could identify with his shyness and awkward actions around girls. He is a human hero with much vulnerability, but he still goes after the villains.

In the upcoming motion picture which will debut in movie theatres across the "web filled, web spun" universe on May 4th,Tobey Maguire reprises his role as Peter Parker, photographer of the New York metropolitan newspaper publication,The Daily Bugle

as he maintains to make ends meet while trying his best to maintain a semblance for normal life while at the same time he saves The Big Apple from the prevolent forces of evil as his superhero alter-ego,Spider-Man.

In the 3rd film to the comic book character based saga,Spider-Man has finally managed to strike a balance between his love and devotion to the woman that he has been infatuately in love with since his grade school days a young child, but until now was too timid at first to show his love and affection for her,Mary Jane Watson;whom is portrayed in the recurring role of the film by actress Kirsten Dunst,

and his duties as a superhero.

But there is a storm brewing on the horizon.

When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control.

Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care for him most.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S SOME MORE DRAMA TO THIS PLOT!

Captain George Stacy tells Peter and his aunt May of new evidence. The evidence implicates Flint Marko (Sandman) as Uncle Ben's "real" killer.
Peter gets extremely angry at this, complaining "This man killed my uncle, and he's still out there!", and sets out to hunt Marko as Spider-Man.
In one battle, when confronted by Spider-Man about Ben's death, Sandman asks him "What does it matter to you anyway?!", to which Spider-Man responds "Everything!", this may or may not implicate that Sandman may or may not have known who Uncle Ben was, as Peter mentions him by name.

The Sandman,as portrayed in the motion picture by actor Thomas Haden Church

is a super villian that possesses super-human strength & the ability to convert or part his body into sand-like substance by mental command.
Also,he can increase the density of his body making him greatly invulnerable to physical injury and he can fuse his sand-like body into glass.

After escaping prison, Flint Marko found refuge in a military nuclear testing site on a beach & was exposed to a reactor's explosion bombarding him with huge amounts of radiation...After awaking, he realized he has changed, and thus is born the Sandman.

AND,IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH........

Peter Parker/Spider-Man has to fend for himself against his former best friend,Harry Osborn;another recurring role in the movie as played by actor James Franco.

Harry Osborn is the son of the late multi-millionaire Norman Osborn.

In the 1st movie SPIDER-MAN movie back in May of 2002,Norman Osborn (whom was played by Willem Dafoe) tries offers a father-figure like relationship to Peter.
His own son Harry ,whom is best friend to Peter,is a bit of a disappointment to him.
Norman sees in Peter what he wishes for his own son.

The CEO of a top-secret lab hired by the U.S. Department of Defense, Norman is faced with the imminent closure of his life's work and takes a risky step of experimenting a new serum on himself.

The frightening conclusion causes a rift in Norman, a Jekyll and Hyde personality, which brings about the birth of the feared Green Goblin who is inheritently evil and wreaks havoc on New York City.

The serum not only enhanced his strength, but it also made him mentally unstable and insanely mad.

Needless to say,The Goblin battled Spidey.
Eventually,The Goblin's alter-ego later discovered that Peter Parker and Spider-Man were one and the same.

Thus,he used that against Spidey first by hurting and harming his Aunt May and then kidnapping his girlfriend Mary Jane where the mother of all battles occurred at the Brooklyn Bridge.

When Spidey and Goblin had their back and forth donnybrook,Gobby revealed himself to Peter that he was Norman Osborn.

After all he did to the wall crawler's loved ones and endangering the entire city of New York,he wanted to reconcile with Spidey wanting him to be his "son".

Spidey refused, then Norman Osborn wanted to kill him by trying to gourd him from behind with his goblin glider using remote control.

In the nick of time,Spidey did one of his spectacular reverse somersault flip jumps to evade peril and instead, the Goblin's glider impaled the Goblin and eventually killing him.

Harry Osborn thought that Spider-Man killed his father and swore on his father's grave that he would get revenge avenging his father's death.

In the 2004 movie,SPIDER-MAN 2,Harry became obsessed waiting to get his hands on Spider-Man and thanks to Spidey's arch nemesis in the film,Dr. Octopus,he did.

Harry 1st wanted to find out who was the man that was behind the mask that he thought killed his father.

When Harry unmasked the webhead,he was beside himself and couldn't believe his eyes when he found out that the man he thought who killed his father was his best friend,Peter Parker.

Now that he knows the secret identity as to whom Spider-Man was,Harry Osborn also found out the secret identity as to whom his father really was and he plans to get his revenge for his father's death by becoming his demented, twisted alter-ego in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN 3 film.

SPIDER-SENSES ARE BEGINNING TO TINGLE......
WHAT NOW?MORE TROUBLE?????

In Spider-Man 3,Peter Parker now has some competition and a rivalry of sorts with newly hired Daily Bugle photographer,Eddie Brock, whom is played in the movie by Topher Grace,

whom eventually plays the role of another one of Spidey's nemeses in the film,VENOM!

If the name Topher Grace sounds familiar to all of you,it should considering that from 1998 until 2005,he played the role of Eric Foreman on the very popular situation comedy television series That 70's Show.

Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves.

So that is the set-up for the movie SPIDER-MAN 3.

IF ANY OF YOU EVEN THINK FOR ONE MINUTE THAT I AM NOT READY FOR THIS COMING FRIDAY,MAY 4TH AND THE UPCOMING THEATRICAL RELEASE OF SPIDER-MAN 3 ,THEN ALL OF YOU REALLY NEED TO GO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST AND OUGHT TO BE WRAPPED UP IN A STRAIT JACKET AND PUT IN A RUBBER ROOM IN THE PSYCH WARD!!!

SO YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING AND ARE GOING TO ASK ME THIS ONE QUESTION.....WHY DO I LOVE AND ADMIRE SPIDER-MAN SO MUCH?????

Spider-Man was ALWAYS a favorite of mine growing up--I was a fan of the comic book series and the many cartoon series that has been shown on television throughout the years.
Pretty much,I was a lot like other kids while growing up that had a favorite superhero or two that could wish for one day to be that superhero and do the many wonderful things that they did,to go out and save the world, even though despite the fact that it was all make believe.
When you watched them on TV or read their comic book, when they were fighting crime,it was like as if you were right along with them.
You couldn't help yourself but to be so caught up in the escapism and the adventure!

Also,I have a massive collection of action figures, comic books, video tapes and DVDs of pretty much all the animated TV series incarnations and motion pictures adaptions, video games and a (over)abundance of T-shirts of the arachnid-like superhero.

Basically,ANYTHING THAT HAS THE LIKENESS OF SPIDEY ON IT.....NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.....I GOT IT!!!

YES!I WILL ADMIT!I WAS A FAN OF THE LIVE-ACTION TELEVISION SERIES that was on CBS from 1977 until 1979!

Many a longtime, diehard Spider-Man fan will look at the show now and will probably say that it was cheesy as hell and that it did not capture the true essence of the webhead like in the way he was presented and depicted in the comic book!

Looking back at it now,at first I was somewhat inclined to agree with them.

However,in the live action televison series' defense,THE REAL TRUTH as to why the live action Spider-Man TV series did not last only but a year and a half was because of two reasons:
(1)The show was cheaply done with a VERY LOW budget, and
(2)CBS kept continuously changing the nights of airing the show to find a consistent time slot.

First,it aired on Thursday nights.
Then, all of a sudden it changed to Saturday nights then back to Thursday nights once again.

Hell, the time slots and nights that the show aired within those 1 and 1/2 years changed like a revolving carousel door.

In all due fairness in retrospect and from a nostaglic standpoint, when you were like me,5-7 years old watching it during that time of the late 1970s,you really did not worry nor care about a television show based on a comic book superhero being cheesy.
I LOVED it because it was SPIDER-MAN and nothing else in the world to me mattered!

Like so many young children before me,during my years growing up as a kid and ever since, I always enjoyed stories about superheroes, but in MY opinion,Spidey was the absolute best!

Many of us can identify with his more normal struggles.
But while Peter Parker is battling the bad guys,he's also worrying about how he is going to pay the rent and the semblance to gain and to live a normal life that so many of us in our day-to-day lives can very easily relate to.

And what fan of Spidey's can ever forget the loving but nagging aunt, meaning Spider-Man's/Peter Parker's Aunt May?

In the movie just as she did in previous two,the role is played by Rosemary Harris, who plays the role of Peter Parker's Aunt May to the hilt and from the heart.

In my life, while I was growing up as a kid,I was persistently teased and ridiculed a lot due to the fact that I was overweight and numerous other things.

Even now during my adult years,I have been harassed on several different various Gulf Coast independent wrestling message boards when certain idiotic people, whom don't have anything else better to do with their pathetic, miserable lives that cannot and do not wish to reveal their real names hiding behind a computer keyboard, have the utter gall and audacity to persecute and berate me,attempting to defame my character saying untruthful, unsubstantiated fabrications and oftimes saying hateful;uncruel words as well as damning and unforgiving racial epitaths and slurs.

I look to SPIDER-MAN as not only my motivation, but my inspiration as well.

In many different ways,Spidey and I have a lot in common in regards to going through the every day grind of trials and tribulations,up and downs and being constantly put down and knocked down both verbally and physically just for doing the right thing and for everything that is right and good.

For every time that SPIDER-MAN gets knocked down,he gets right back up,fighting back, overcoming his adversities while facing many tumultuous and insurmountable odds.
At the end of the day, with tremendous resolve, courage, perseverance and having that never-say-die attitude, most of the time Spidey emerges victorious and on top.

In very tried and true SPIDER-MAN form,I am reminded of the old attage, which is this:

IT IS NOT HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET KNOCKED DOWN,

IT'S HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET RIGHT BACK UP!

And,just like the chorus to the classic 1990s song called "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba:
"I get knocked down,
but I get up again.
YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO KEEP ME DOWN!!!"

That is why Spider-Man has been my favorite superhero since I was 5 years old and why my love and admiration for him has NEVER,EVER waned unto this very day!
Having said all that, these burning questions remain for the movie SPIDER-MAN 3?
CAN SPIDEY WIN THE BATTLE WITHIN OVERCOMING THE SYMBIOTE THAT HAS TAKEN OVER HIM?

WILL SPIDEY BE ABLE TO HANDLE SAVING THE DAY WHILE CRIME FIGHTING AND,AT THE SAME TIME, COMMIT FULLY TO HIS LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP TO THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, MARY JANE WATSON

AND FINALLY TIE THE KNOT ?

WILL SPIDEY BE ABLE TO FINALLY SHUT UP ONCE AND FOR ALL HIS POMPOUS,ARROGANT,NARROW MINDED,SELF-CENTERED ASSHOLE OF A BOSS,J. JONAH JAMESON?

COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE THE FINAL TIME THAT WE SEE TOBEY MAGUIRE PLAY THE ROLE THAT NOT ONLY HAS MADE HIM A HOUSEHOLD NAME,BUT BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AS SPIDER-MAN?????

Well, the ONLY way for you to find all these answers to all these burning questions is for you to go to your favorite local movie theater on Friday,May 4th and check out the movie that will have the entire world climbing the walls and spinning lots of webs..................SPIDER-MAN 3!!!

ALSO,PLEASE BE SURE TO ALLOCATE SOME TIME FOR YOURSELF TO GET IN LINE VERY EARLY TO PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS BECAUSE A MOVIE OF THE MAGNITUDE SUCH AS THIS,IT REALLY DOESN'T TAKE ALL THAT MUCH "spider-sense" FOR YOU TO EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE HOW LONG THE WEB-LINES WILL REALLY AND TRULY BE!

UNTIL NEXT TIME,WEBHEADS.....
