INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part Six:DIXIE IN ACTION AT GULF SOUTH WRESTLING/Volume Two)!

HELLO WEBHEADS !

I would like to sincerely thank all you webheads who have been enjoying reading my Indy Diva profile based on "THE SEXY SOUTHERN BELLE" known as DIXIE.

Now,we have come to the final climax of Dixie's story, but let me tell you something out there that her wrestling career is FAR,FAR FAR FROM OVER!!!

When I last left you in my blog,Dixie was triumphant in her triple threat match
over both Zip and "The Majesty Of Mayhem" Queen Melissa at the Gulf South Wrestling show in Grand Bay,AL on March 24th (MY BIRTHDAY-LOL!).

However,if either Dixie or her fans thought for one minute that she heard the last from her two villanious foes, they most certainly had another thing coming.
Incidentally,Dixie had some more troubles that were looming on the horizon.

Dixie's boyfriend,Ricky "Rocket" Roberts was having a lot of problems with his friend,Mercury McCloud.
Both men participated in a 10 man over-the top rope blindfold battle royal;a first for Gulf South Wrestling and for Gulf Coast independent wrestling for that matter.
Mercury and "The Rocket" were both achieving toward the same goal;which was winning this unique and bizarre battle royal.
Mercury was attemting to throw men over the top rope.
"Rocket" unfortunately was caught in the middle of it as Mercury threw about three or four men simultaneously.
When Rocket realized that he was thrown over the top rope and removing his blidfolding hood,he got extremely livid.
When Mercury got thrown over,"The Rocket" was waiting for him outside and he was incensed at Mercury for what he did.
Despite that the blindfold battle royal was every man for himself and with Mercury not even knowing whom he threw over the top rope whilst he was in the ring.
"The Rocket" pushed Mercury and started a very heated argument with him.
Mercury tried to apologize to him,but Roberts didn't even want to hear it nor accept his apology.

Thus, their grudge match took place one month later at the GSW show in Grand Bay,AL.
Mercury pinned "The Rocket" 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring fair and square.
"Rocket",who was in a state of disbelief after losing by pinfall, did a Pearl Harbor job on his former best friend and attacked him from behind.
Dixie ran in,climbed on her boyfriend's back and physically restraining him, pulling her man off of her former trainer from doing any further damage.
"Rocket" was very angry with his girlfriend and began shouting and arguing with her;telling her in a inhumane chauvinistic way that her place was not only back in the locker room, but at home in the kitchen.

Dixie was very shocked and heartbroken with what her now former boyfriend said to her.
But,little did Dixie know,as "Rocket" began pushing her away, that at the time her arch rival,Zip ran in the ring and attacked her from behind as she began kicking, stomping and pummeling upon her enemy.
But,Dixie battled back unaware that also running from the back of the dressing room was Queen Melissa.
She came in and attacked Dixie from behind.
However, still with a "never say die" attitude,Dixie once again battled her way back
and combatted the attack that was perpetrated by her adversaries.
Then,Zip got back up and soon afterwards it became a brutal and violent 2 on 1 beatdown on Dixie.

Her ex-boyfriend,Ricky "Rocket" Roberts did absolutely nothing as he walked away from the ring and back to the dressing room.
Dixie stood her ground and hung tough to battle both her allied foes.
It took
ALL of GSW security,ALL of the wrestlers in the locker room and EVEN GSW President Percy Pringle III to break up this uncultivated brouhaha!

When order was restored, the GSW President was very, very upset with all 3 ladies and ordered for Dixie an Zip to wrestle each other a one-on-one match the following month with,BELIEVE IT OR NOT,Queen Melissa as the special referee.

One month later,on April 21st at the GSW SPRING SLAM show,
the match between Dixie and Zip took place.
Prior to the match commencing,Percy Pringle got on the microphone demanding that Queen Melissa either call the match right down the middle,to be unbiased and impartial,or else she was going to be suspended.

Queen Melissa heard the GSW President very loud and clear, but NO ONE
that was there in the audience that night believed for one split second that she was even going to abide by the rules.

Once again,it was another situation where Dixie's proverbial back was entirely up against the wall.
It was one thing to battle her arch rival,Zip,but knowing the hatred that Queen Melissa had for her and knowing full well that she wasn't even thinking about calling her match 100% down the middle,it was another completely different story entirely!

From the start,it was your typical, classic, back and forth Dixie/Zip encounter.
However, when Zip tried to pin Dixie,The Queen would count to 3 very rapidly.
However, when Dixie attempted to pin Zip,the count of 3 would either go at a snail's pace or that Queen Melissa would claim that her shoulder was hurting or that her hand was in pain when she slapped it to the canvas too hard.

UNBELIEVABLE,HUH?!!?

Also, when Zip blatantly choked Dixie's throat, one would think that Queen Melissa would call for a break.
But,The Queen would let Zip choke while she was distracted arguing with the fans.

Dixie was about to have all that she could stand with Queen Melissa and her horrible officiating.
However, she soon realized that if she even laid one pinky finger on her,The Queen immediately would have disqualified her and would have unjustly awarded the match to Zip.

Despite tremendous, incomparable and insurmountable odds,Dixie got a second wind and fought her way back.

However,Zip Irish Whipped Dixie to the ring ropes and hit her in her finishing move called "The Zippit".
Queen Melissa was at the count of 2 before Dixie somehow kicked out.

Dixie got her momentum back and Irish Whipped Zip into a corner.
Zip came from the corner attempting to rebound and catch Dixie with a running clothesline.
Dixie had the same idea in mind.
Both of these ladies had the same idea in mind and they were going towards each other like two fast, speeding cars going at 55 miles an hour on a straightforward, head on collision course.
However,as they were about to clothesline one another,Queen Melissa was caught in the middle of their dueling running clotheslines and she was knocked unconscious.
The crowd went absolutely nuts when this moment occurred!

Zip then Irish whipped Dixie in the ring ropes attemtiong to hit Dxie again with "The Zippit",but Dixie countered it and hit Zip with her finishing maneuver called "The Climax".
Dixie covered Zip and hooked for leg for the pin.
A second referee ran in,slid through the bottom ring rope and counted Zip shouldres down for the 1-2-3.
Dixie won in a very difficult, dramatic, but very outstanding match!

Due to her one-sided biased officiating,Queen Melissa was suspended by Gulf South Wrestling.
She hasn't wrestled since her suspension, much less she hasn't been seen from nor heard from since.....

A few matches later came another situation in a match involving Ricky "Rocket" Roberts and Mercury McCloud.
It was the same scenario that happened in their match a month ago.
This time, the match ended in a no-contest,but Roberts picked up where he left off a month earlier continuing his pulverizing pummelation on McCloud.
Dxie ran in and very physically pulled "The Rocket" off of McCloud.
A heated argument ensued, then unbeknowst to Dixie,Zip was behind her.
Just like last month,"The Rocket" pushed Dixie away and then Zip ambushed her from behind once again;shades of what happened last month.
Of course,Dixie wasn't going to put up with Zip's ambushing her no longer and once again and Dixie battled back with another mother of all catfights with Zip taking place once again.
Then Mercury and "The Rocket" began to fight each other and it took nearly all the
locker room, security and even GSW President Percy Pringle III to
break up both fracases.

I couldn't believe her ex-boyfriend got on the microphone having the gall and the utter audacity to directly tell you that Dixie had
absolutely no business being in the ring and that she belonged and
needed to stay back in the locker room.
In a flash,Dixie broke away from security, ran towards him and attacked him!
"Rocket" was fined $1,000 for his actions.

Why in the world all of a sudden after being together for nearly 2 years did Ricky "Rocket" Roberts turn his back on Dixie?
There was no explanation about the whole issue nor the reasoning for his change in
attitude.

Right then and there,GSW President Percy Pringle III ordered and made a mixed tag team match between Ricky "Rocket" Roberts and Zip versus Dixie and Mercury McCloud for the May GSW show in Grand Bay,AL.

The mixed tag team grudge match took place one month later at GSW's MAY MAYHEM show on Friday,May 19th,2006 as each combatant had a personal score to settle with their respective enemies.
As you could imagine, due to the animosity and volatility in nature between all 4 of these competitors,it was almost like stacked sticks of dynamite that was about to explode!
The guys took on the guys and the ladies took on the ladiess whenever a tag to them was made.
The match went back and forth between the four and,at times during the match,it was very chaotic.

There was a very bizarre and unexpected turning point near the end of the match.
After Ricky "Rocket" Roberts worked on Mercury McCloud's left knee and left leg during most of the match,McCloud somehow managed to escape and tagged Dixie.
Dixie began taking it to Zip.
She hit Zip with one of her finishing moves called "The Climax".
Just a few minutes later,Zip attempted to Irish Whip Dixie into a corner, but Dixie reversed it and threw her into a corner where the referee was standing,Zip squashed the ref and he was knocked unconscious.

Then you will
not believe what happened
next.
Dixie reached into her left boot and pulled out some brass
knuckles.
She put on those brass knuckles onto her right hand and
knocked Zip out cold.

Mercury, who later came to after his long battle
with Roberts, saw what Dixie did and he was very upset and confused as
to why Dixie did what she did.
Dixie told him that it was because of
her 3 year feud with Zip and she was getting even with her.
Next thing you know,Dixie, still with the brass knucks in her hand, hit Mercury
McCloud with them and knocked him out.

Like the late, great Hall Of Fame sportscaster and famed St.Louis Cardinals baseball radio announcer Jack Buck once said:
"I DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW!".
Neither did the crowd that was there in the audience that night.

Rocky "Rocket" Roberts came to and saw what Dixie did to both McCloud and to Zip.
She grabbed her arm and spun her around towards him with a very irate
and distraught look on his face.
His distraught and irate look turned into laughter, happiness and joy as Dixie jumped and leaped on top of him into his arms and the two very passionately hugged and kissed each other.

GSW founder and President Percy Pringle III was sitting at ringside
to witness the whole chain of events unfold.
As Dixie attempted to cover Zip for the win,he officially stopped the match and ruled it a no-contest.
Mercury came to,got on the microphone and said to both Dixie and "The Rocket" that
old saying "Birds of a feather flock together".
He referred to the newly called Bonnie and Clyde of Gulf South Wrestling more like two buzzards.

Both Ricky "The Rocket" Roberts and Dixie's break-upNEVER really was a break-up!
It was all a rouse;the proverbial "smoke-and-mirrors" trick,if you will.
The whole scenario with Dixie using the brass knucks and everything else was all a total, complete and planned set-up by the both of them from the getgo!

Nevertheless, they were back together again,or in this case,THEY NEVER
REALLY LEFT EACH OTHER
!!!

Then,Dixie was back to her old ways again reverting to the ways and means of a rulebreaking heel type of a wrestler.
Dixie was a very talented and very established female independent wrestler, but she was more into taking the unnecessary shortcuts to gain an advantage or to even win a match, such as was the case
in the manner she defeated Zip at the GSW "SUMMER SLOBBER KNOCKER" show in Citronelle,AL on June 3rd,2006.

Eight days later,Zip defeated Dixie when GSW debuted at Alabama's largest entertainment complex at The Whiskey in Dixie's hometown of Mobile,AL.

This officially was the last time these two ladies fought against each other.
Will we ever see Dixie and Zip rekindle their NEVER ENDING 3 and 1/2 year long feud?
In the immortal words to the title of the song of the former 1980's British rock group,ASIA:
"ONLY TIME WILL TELL".

For the next 3 months, women's wrestling at Gulf South Wrestling was more desolate than an Old West ghost town......
....that was until women's wrestling returned to GSW with a glorious, spectacular return!

Currently,Dixie is feuding with one of the most established and one of very top indy female wrestlers in the business,"The Belle Of Biloxi known as PASSION (pictured on the right).

Passion has worked with several wrestling organizations all over the United States and she was once trained by two former World Wrestling Entertainment superstars, the husband and wife team of Jazz and Rodney Mack.

I have seen this extremely beautiful and talented blonde bombshell wrestle all over and along the Gulf Coast area for several years.
Once at a Pensacola Wrestling Alliance (PWA) show in Pensacola,FL,she wrestled in an over-the-top-rope battle royal that consisted mostly of male wrestlers!
As a matter of fact, she threw a few of them over the top rope!

However,I must say that Passion is not just another pretty face by no stretch of the imagination.
This woman is very tenacious, aggressive, ruthless and extremely vicious, just as in the way as I described when I saw her wrestle recently in a one-on-one match against Dixie.

Passion is a very skilled, very tough and a very competitive wrestler, but you never would have known that by the way she defeated Dixie at The Whiskey and over at a GSW show in Loxley,AL when on both of those occasions she pinned Dixie by covering her and putting both of her feet on the middle ring ripes for extra added leverage with out the referee seeing any of this underhanded chicanery taking place for cheap 1-2-3 victories.

Make no mistake about it,Dixie will certainly have more than her hands full the next time when she takes on Passion in one-on-one ladies competition;but believe me,webheads, after seeing Dixie through the last 3 years take on many a female opponent and wrestle them in any and every type of wrestling match imaginable,"The Sexy Southern Belle" will be MORE than capable handling herself and will give Passion a very good run for her money when these two ladies face each other in the squared circle in the very near future.

On a personal note,Dixie recently received a major accomplishment
from the immensely popular worldwide indy women's wrestling YAHOO! group known as Indy
Divas
as she was voted by the group members and her fans as one of the co-August Indy Divas Of The Month!
Dixie was overwhelmed and was very happy when she received her award.
She was extremely honored to be voted by her fans and her peers.
She thanked all of her fans that voted for her and who have supported her throughout her wrestling career.

In a nutshell,I am very proud of Dixie and what she has achieved in her 4 years in the independent wrestling business.
I have seen and have witnessed many a match that she was involved in whether she was competing as a wrestler or as a wrestling manager through my many and extensive wrestling travels.
She has really shown me a lot through her courage, her desire, her will to win and her unbreakable spirit to never, ever surrender!

More importantly than that,I am equally proud and privileged to not only be an UNDISPUTED #1 fan of hers, but also calling her,as she does,as one of my best friends!!!!

I am very grateful to have met and to know one very special lady known as:
"THE SEXY SOUTHERN BELLE"
DIXIE!!!

INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part Five:DIXIE IN ACTION AT GULF SOUTH WRESTLING/Volume One)!

GREETINGS WEBHEADS!

Welcome to another episodic installment in the saga to my Indy Diva profile of the very beautiful and talented female independent wrestler from the Gulf Coast,"THE SEXY SOUTHERN BELLE" known as DIXIE!

When I last left you while I wrote to you on my last blog,I mentioned to all you webheads that Dixie was wrestling for the Independent Wrestling Council (IWC) at Tillman's Corner in Theodore,AL from June of 2003 until they officially closed their doors for good on March 29th,2005.
I also mentioned to you that Dixie took a 6 month hiatus from the independent wrestling circuit.....

...which is where we'll pick up the story from here.

I went to an Alabama Wrestling Federation (AWF) show in Semmes,AL in September of 2005.
There was an evil female manager that was there who was managing local Gulf Coast indy wrestler "Marvelous" Marcel Pringle, the ofttimes wayward cousin to Percy Pringle III (a.k.a Paul Bearer, the former manager of WWE wrestling phenom,The Undertaker).
Her name is Queen Melissa.

There was a match that took place that night between Pringle and Gulf Coast wrestling legend "The Bullet" Bob Armstrong.
Armstrong won the match by disqualification due to Queen Melissa interfering in the match.
Both The Queen and Marcel began kicking and stomping upon "The Bullet".

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, unbeknowst to me and the crowd that were in attendance that night, there was a lady that came running towards the ring and speared Queen Melissa.
IT WAS NONE OTHER THAN DIXIE!
The crowd was on their feet screaming and hollering to the rafters of The Semmes Community Center when Dixie approached the ring.

Then, the mother of all catfights began as there was a lot of kicking and scratching and numerous rollovers where one lady was on top of the other.
Hair was being pulled by each of these feisty ladies and clothes were being ripped apart at the seams.

...AND YOU WONDER WHY I LOVE WOMEN'S WRESTLING SO MUCH!!!LOL!

Less than a month after The Queen's initial fracas with Dixie, she made an amicable split with "Marvelous" Marcel Pringle.
Queen Melissa was no longer a manager, she became a professional wrestler and she wanted to get revenge against Dixie.

Both of these ladies,
Dixie and Queen Melissa (staring at each other in the picture on the right) were about to get it on and set it off.
Like that former televison game show host Richard Dawson used to say:
"LET'S PLAY THE FEUD" !!!

The first time
when I saw these two wrestle against each other was in Dixie's hometown in Mobile,AL at the Mobile Fairgrounds in October of 2005.

It was not at an Alabama Wrestling Federation show, but it was a BRAND NEW Gulf coast wrestling organization that was started, founded and run by the afforementioned and distinguised Percy Pringle III and the name of his organization was called Gulf South Wrestling.
Both of these ladies were in a mixed tag team match where the guys wrestled against the guys and the ladies wrestled against the ladies.

Queen Melissa's mixed tag team partner was Canadian-born indy wrestler Aeon Flexx while Dixie's partner was her boyfriend,Ricky "Rokcet" Roberts.

Queen Melissa, who hadn't been in the business nor had been wrestling for very long, was a pretty good wrestler.
However,Queen Melissa was more like the type of wrestler that loved to use dirty, underhanded chicanery and foul play in doing WHATEVER it takes to win matches.
Dixie,on the other hand, used her skill and wrestling know-how to not only combat The Queen's dirty tactics, but also to win her matches over her unruly adversary.

On occasion,Dixie reached into her old bag of dirty tricks to fight fire with fire when it came to the likes of Queen Melissa.

Dixie and her man,"The Rocket" successfully won their mixed tag team that night at the inaugural GSW show.

During the next few months at GSW shows that were taking place in Grand Bay,AL and on occasion in Citronelle,AL,the Dixie/Queen Melissa feud continued to flourish as they were wrestling each other in mixed tag team matches as well as in single one-on-one ladies competition.

Despite her heelish, villainous ways and tried as she might,Queen Melissa just always seemed to come up short when it came to defeating Dixie as Dixie amassed a string of victories over "The Majesty of Mayhem".....

.....that was until when GSW had a show that took place in Grand Bay,AL in mid-February of 2006.

It was Dixie going at it once again one-on-one against Queen Melissa.
However, sitting at ringside on this particular evening was Dixie's most fiercest competitor when she wrestled her in Tillman's Corner in Theodore,AL at the defunct wrestling organization known as the Independent Wrestling Council (IWC).

It was none other than Dixie's notorious, nefarious arch nemesis,ZIP!

At first from the early going,
it was a normal,typical Queen Melissa/Dixie match-up.
Queen Melissa was cheating, using unruly, dirty tactics
to gain and take any and every advantage on Dixie while Dixie combatted her adversary with wrestling savvy and basic, tremendous wrestling skill and ability.

Near the end of the match, many times Queen Melissa kept leaving the ring going to the outside baiting Dixie to chase her around the ring.
The Queen did it once again and Dixie, who was in the ring at the time, motioned for her foe to step back into the ring.
The referee went outside and began arguing and telling Queen Melissa to get back into the ring.
While the referee and Dixie were both distracted,Zip immediately ran into the ring, hit Dixie from behind and performed Dixie's own finishing maneuver on her caled "The Rat Killer".
Zip soon ran out of the ring and out of the building like a thief in the night that robbed the First National Bank.
When the dirty deed was done,Queen Melissa ran back to the ring, covered an unconscious Dixie and hooked her leg as the referee counted down Dixie's shoulders for a very tawdry 1-2-3 victory.

Now,Dixie had not only ONE,but TWO low down, venomous, devilish women to deal with at Gulf South Wrestling:
QUEEN MELISSA and ZIP!

These three women would do battle one month later in a 3 way dance at a GSW show in Grand Bay,AL.
Whichever lady made any two of her other opponents to lose either by pinfall or to make them submit would win the match.
To say that Dixie had her back against the wall during this triple threat ladies encounter would be a very huge understatement.

NOTE:
THIS 3 WAY LADIES ENCOUNTER TOOK PLACE ON MARCH 24TH,WHICH IRONICALLY ENOUGH,HAPPENED ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!
MAN OH MAN,WHAT A VERY NICE BIRTHDAY GIFT I RECEIVED,HUH?LOL
!

Seeing that it was obvious that Queen Melissa and
Zip weren't going to go at each other, the referee made the match to be more like a 2-on-1 handicap match where the two allies,Zip and Queen Melissa, had to tag in and out.
Now,the deck was stacked against Dixie more than ever before!

But,much
to the utter surprise of Zip and The Queen,Dixie overcame her insurmountable obstacle and incredibly held her own against her two bitter arch rivals,as seen in this picture to the right!

At first the terrible twosome,Zip and Queen Melissa, were getting along just fine;until when one of them tried to pin Dixie because whenever either The Queen or Zip tried to attempt to pin Dixie for the win,the other would run in and break up the count.
I can't even begin to tell you how infuriated both of these ladies were with each other when that particular situation happened.

Somehow, this scuttlebutt that The Queen and Zip were having with each other gave Dixie so much very valuable and needed time to recuperate herself and get herself together.
Dixie battled back and single handledly took care of both Zip and Queen Melissa!

Where or how in the world Dixie found the inner strength to battle back,I will NEVER,EVER know.
Nevertheless,to say to least,it was an amazing comeback on Dixie's behalf.

Dixie finished off both her opposing adversaries.

First, she finished off Queen Melissa by dropping her like a bad habit in one of her finishers,"The Rat Killer".

Then,Zip grabbed Dixie from behind and Irish Whipped her into the ropes.
Zip attempted to finish Dixie off in a sidewalk slam, but Dixie countered Zip's sidewalk slam and finished her off with another one of her finishing
maneuvers called "The Climax".

Dixie covered Zip and hooked her leg for the 1-2-3 victory!

SOMEHOW...SOMEWAY....an extremely tired and battered Dixie overcame insurmountable odds and persevered defeating two indy female wrestlers in one match in one night!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS,WEBHEADS:
THIS MATCH THAT OCCURRED AT GULF SOUTH WRESTLING IN GRAND BAY,ALABAMA ON MARCH 24TH,2006 TRULY DESERVES SOME VERY STRONG AND VERY SERIOUS CONSIDERATION TO NOT ONLY BE NOMINATED,BUT TO WIN IN THE CATEGORY FOR "Match Of The Year" AT THE 2006 INDY DIVAS AWARDS!
WITHOUT QUESTION,I,FOR ONE,ABSOLUTELY GIVE IT MY FULL RECOMMENDATION AND MY TOTAL,UNBIASED 100% ENDORSEMENT
!!!

In the next blog, which will be the VERY LAST final saga in my Indy Diva profile on Dixie,"The Sexy Southern Belle" takes another very bizarre turn from babyface.....to heel.....back to babyface once again as I will wrap up the Dixie blog with:

INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part Four:The IWC Years,Volume Two)!

GREETINGS,WEBHEADS !

Welcome to Part Four of my Indy Diva profile of "The Sexy Southern Belle" Dixie!

When I left you at my last blog,Dixie was managing the team of Trailer Fabulous (Mercury McCloud and "Crazy" Joe Fargo) and she was having
her back and forth one-on-one battles with Gulf Coast indy female wrestler Zip for the IWC Women's Championship (pictured on the right).

Dixie was not only wrestling hardcore and mixed tag team matches, but in her one-on-one encounters with Zip,
she showed tremendous skill and submission maneuvers, such as this one pictured to your right.

After managing Trailer Fabulous to multi time reigns as IWC Tag Team Champions, very amicably, both Trailer Fabulous and Dixie parted ways.
Now Dixie was managing a team that she once defeated for the IWC Tag Team Champions (as I reported on my last blog),The Warriors.

The Warriors, formerly known as The Jihad Warriors, were fired by their manager,Ali Akbar,as he kicked his own team to the curb,so to speak,to manage a new team.
Originally hailing from the country of Syria,The Warriors were somehow "American-ized" to the customs and the lifestyle of the American way.
Thus came a brand new look and a brand new manager as Dixie managed this outstanding tag team.

Then,Dixie became known as "The Warrior Princess" almost in the same manner like the character from the very popular television series known as "XENA:The Warrior Princess".
Very rapidly, this team soon became the IWC Tag Team Champions under Dixie's guidance and influence.

A couple of months later, yet again, very amicably,Dixie left her team,The Warriors,to concentrate solely on what she loved doing and what she did best, wrestling in one-on-one ladies singles competition.
Dixie won a few more reigns as the IWC Women's Champion taking on the likes of Zip as well as some "new blood" challengers in the forms of indy female wrestlers Chassity Fargo (daughter of "Crazy" Joe Fargo),Nicole Bondage and Stacey Duke.

It wasn't before long until Dixie,
who became one of the most popular wrestling personalities at the IWC,reverted back to her old ways once again as a rulebreaking heel;taking unnecessary shortcuts and doing WHATEVER it took to win matches as she re-invented herself with a brand new business-type look.
Trust me,webheads,Dixie meant business and was giving "the business" to everybody she fought!

Despite her disposition,Dixie still showed off the great, wrestling skills that had
made her very successful up to this point in her wrestling career.

At the time,Dixie was managing a very good, dynamically skilled aerial tag team in the form of
"The Natural" Nick Wonder (pictured in the middle next to Dixie) and "The Future Icon" Nick Vortex (pictured on the end on the right).

Just like the many men that Dixie managed before them, whether either Nick Wonder or Nick Vortex were wrestling in singles competition or as a tag team, under her tutelage,Dixie managed them to a string of victories at the IWC.

Sadly,like that old proverb goes:
"ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END".

That was exactly what happened on Tuesday night,March 29th,2005 as the Independent Wrestling Council closed its doors for good as they folded their wrestling organization.

Dixie was the IWC's last official Womens' Champion.

She came to the IWC and she left there when it ended in the same way that she came in.....ON TOP!

Dixie took a hiatus from the indy wrestling scene, only to return right back into the squared circle mix 6 months later.
This is where we'll pick up on the story in my next blog;the final saga of my Indy Diva profile of "The Sexy Southern Belle" Dixie in:

"Part Five:DIXIE IN ACTION AT GULF SOUTH WRESTLING" !

INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part Three:The IWC Years,Volume One)!

HELLO WEBHEADS !

Welcome to another installment of my INDY DIVA profile on "The Sexy Southern Belle" DIXIE!

We are now getting into a pivotal point in Dixie's wrestling career as I am going to chronicle her time at the Independent Wrestling Council (IWC).
This will be a two parter to this one.
Therefore, with that being said, let's get right to it!

Back in the early summer of 2003,a brand new Gulf Coast wrestling organization was formed named the Independent Wrestling Council.
They had shows every Tuesday night at a machine shop over in Tillman's Corner in Theodore,AL;even having some holiday shows on Christmas.
This wrestling organization consisted of wrestling talent that defected from Sun Coast Championship Wrestling (later renamed the Alabama Wrestling Federation) in order to create their own brand new promotion.

Remember the Monday Night wrestling wars on telelvision from 1994 until the early spring of 2001 between WCW Monday Nitro and WWF RAW ?
Well, there was a Tuesday Night war that was taking place on the Gulf Coast
between the IWC and the AWF,whom had their shows every Tuesday night at a local bar called Club Casino in downtown Mobile,AL.

Anyway,as I mentioned in the previous blog,Dixie was a part of the IWC and she was wrestling there and,at the same time, she was managing Booger Brown (whom by the way both are pictured to the right).

These two were known as the Bonnie and Clyde of the IWC.

Dixie was the IWC Women's Champion and held that belt on several occasions while she managed Booger to winning mutliple times as the reigning and defending IWC Heavyweight Champion.

No matter which one of these two wrestled,no matter who they wrestled against or which one was outside the ring seconding the other, most of the majority of the time, the results were basically the same.
Booger and Dixie broke almost every rule in the book to gain any and every unnecessary advantage to win their matches while the person who was seconding the other outside the ring helped the other by interfering during the other's match,as was illustrated in this photograph on the right when Dixie interfered in one of Booger's IWC title matches when she hit indy wrestler Chief Iron Claw upside his head with her own IWC Women's title belt!

It seemed at this point in her career that Dixie was on Cloud 9;on top of the world if you will. She was the IWC Women's Champion and she managed the IWC Heavyweight Chanmpion Booger Brown.

Also,it seemed that NOTHING could ever possibly go wrong with Dixie, unfortunately however until one fateful Tuesday night at an IWC show.....

One night,Booger Brown lost his IWC Heavyweight Championship.
He blamed Dixie for his loss.
Dixie pleaded trying to reason with him saying that she had nothing to do with his title loss, but Booger didn't even wanted to hear one word that she said.

Then,the unthinkable happened.

Inexplicably Booger turned on Dixie.
He grabbed her by her hair, picked her up putting her on his shoulders and hit Dixie with his finishing maneuver called "The Booger Picker".
"The Booger Picker" is a move when Booger put his adversary up on his shoulders, spins his adversary around and then releasing and dropping that opponent face first into the ring canvas;which eventually that was the same thing that happened to Dixie.

Dixie was in very serious pain at this moment as she was favoring her neck.
Somebody ran into the ring, picked her up and took her back to the dressing room.
It was none other than one of her original trainers, wrestler Mercury McCloud.
She took her back to the dressing room to tend to one of his prized pupils.
After her neck being in pain and being out of action for about a few weeks,Dixie recovered and triumphantly returned back to the IWC.

Originally,Mercury wrestled in singles competition at the IWC.Then shortly afterwards,he was in a tag team along with "Crazy" Joe Fargo.
With Dixie by their side, who had a change of heart after her split with Booger Brown, she managed this tag team that later named themselves Trailer Fabulous.
Dixie led this very popular and dominant tag team to multiple time title reigns as IWC Tag Team Champions!

Dixie was also heavily involved in a very competitive rivalry feud with her arch rival by the name of Zip (tied up in an armbar by Dixie in the picture on the right).
From one week to the next,
you really didn't know what was going to happen to one another;nor could you tell who was going to win because ALL of their matches between these two ladies were very fiercely fought, fiercely competitive and hotly contested.

IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION from my very own perspective watching several of these one-on-one encounters between Dixie and Zip,not only was the Dixie/Zip feud one of the longest running feuds on the Gulf Coast independent wrestling circuit, but this feud in particular brought out the very best in both of these very young, very beautiful and very talented female wrestlers.

Both Zip and Dixie wrestled against each other in numerous matches for the IWC Women's Championship.
Back then, that IWC Women's title changed hands back and forth more times than the members of President's George W. Bush's Cabinet!

They also wrestled against each other
in mixed tag team matches, hardcore matches (like the one in the picture displayed on the right) and even a Paddle On A Pole match where the winner had to climb on the turnbuckle to reach the paddle to win, then give her opponent about 10 lashes in the derriere with that wooden paddle.
Also, may I add, those lashes were extremely painful;so painful that the losing comabatant in this specialty stipulated type match had to literally sleep standing up.

Aside from winning the IWC Women's Championship on numerous occasions, there were two very significant crowning moments in Dixie's career:
(1)The first one happened during an IWC Tag Team Championship match.
There was an anti-American team known as the Jihad Warriors who were at the time the IWC Tag Team Champions and one of Trailer Fabulous' most fiercest and most hated rivals.
"Crazy" Joe Fargo was suspended from the IWC and the manager of the Jihad Warriors demanded for Dixie to be Mercury McCloud's tag team partner as a substitute.
Mercury wrestled most of the majoity of the match, taking the brunt the of the pummelling and onslaught for his team.
Then, there was a point where Dixie reached in and tagged Mercury while he was down and came in to compete.
The Jihads were licking their chops thinking they had it easy when Dixie was in there, believing she was ripe for the picking.

HOW WRONG THEY WERE !

One of the Jihads Irish Whipped Dixie into the ropes attempting to do a sidewalk slam on her,but Dixie reversed it and finished him off with her finishing move called "The Climax".
Dixie covered the Jihad Warrior and hooked his leg for the 1-2-3 victory!

For at least one night,Dixie and Mercury McCloud were the IWC Tag Team Champions!

(2)Another crowning moment for Dixie was when she wrestled one-on-one against then the IWC Heavyweight Champion,Eckmo Fatu!
In the last couple of years,Eckmo Fatu has had a couple of stints wrestling for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Along with his cousin,Rosey,he was known as Jamal,1/2 of the tag team known as 3 Minute Warning.

He was released by the WWE in 2005,only to return and be re-signed by them earlier this year as the currently undefeated "Samoan Bulldozer" known as Umaga.

There is so much more to tell about Dixie and her days in the IWC.
I will discuss more about "The Sexy Southern Belle" Dixie in:

"The IWC Years,Volume Two"

INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part Two)!

HELLO WEBHEADS !

Well, once again,we are going to divulge into the 2nd part of my Indy Diva profile based on "The Sexy Southern Belle" known as Dixie!

But first, some of you might be wondering what are Dixie's finishing maneuvers?

Well,for starters,
her first one is called "THE RAT KILLER",a behind-the-back,double underhook reverse facebuster similar to the finishing maneuver that is used by TNA superstar,Christian Cage.
Dixie has won many a match with this particular finishing maneuver.

Another one of her finishing maneuvers
is called "THE CLIMAX".
"THE CLIMAX" is sort of a Mexican head scissors takedown counter from an attempted sidewalk slam that is about to be done by one of her opponents.
During any type of match that Dixie was involved in,when she hit anybody with this move,9 times out of 10,it was pretty much lights out!
Dixie also won many a match in her career with this maneuver as well.

And now, back to the Dixie's profile.....

I mentioned at the end of Part One of Dixie's profile, she was trained by the great, talented indy wrestler,Mercury McCloud.

Dixie was both wrestling and was managing when I first met her back in 2003 at Sun Coast Championship Wrestling over in Axis,AL.

It was here
where she met, whom in later years was soon to be the love of her life, another outstanding Gulf Coast indy wrestler,Ricky "ROCKET" Roberts (pictured with Dixie on the right);when at that time he was wrestling under the name Rikki Rocket;which he is NOT to be confused name-wise with the drummer from the 1980s glam metal band Poison,Rikki Rockett (WITH TWO Ts).

Dixie
was involved in a feud with another indy female wrestling personality,Destiny.
Both of these ladies went back and forth for the SCCW Women's Championship;not to mention going at each other and tearing each other apart limb from limb in numerous catfights.

Dixie was also a manager
to a very good, rough and tough, brawler type wrestler named Booger Brown (pictured on the right).
In a very short time, both her and Brown were wreaking havoc, running amok and over everybody in SCCW that stood in their paths as the two established themselves as the top male and female heel personalities at the promotion.

Things were going great for Dixie and everbody involved in SCCW until when, with what I believe to be true, some disagreements coming about between the powers-that-be that were involved within the organization as to what direction the SCCW was going to take.
The SCCW was renamed the Alabama Wrestling Federation and the wrestlers that decided to stay stuck around and stayed.
Dixie and those that were involved with what was left with SCCW moved their wrestling faction in the summer of 2003 to Tillman's Corner in Theodore,AL which became known as the Independent Wrestling Council (IWC).

.....which is where we will pick up in Part Three of Dixie's Indy Diva profile.

INDY DIVA profile on DIXIE (Part One)!

GREETINGS WEBHEADS!

Today in my blog, for the first time ever in the history of my blog,B SPIDEY'S WEB,will be a prologue to a literary episodic wrestling saga prose.
It is yet again one of the things that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE as I'm sure the rest of you webheads do as well;that is one of my features in my blog called THE INDY DIVA PROFILE.
I had to do it in this format because (1)I have so much to tell in this INDY DIVA profile and (2)it would take WAAAAAY too long to put all of this information in on just this one blog.

Besides webheads,don't you like intrigue?LOL!

This particular blog features a very tough, very talented and beautiful spitfire that hails from Mobile,AL.
Not to mention, one of my most dearest and cherished friends that I know in the independent wrestling business here on the Gulf Coast.

SO JUST WHO IS THIS INDY WRESTLING SEXY SOUTHERN BELLE?
Well,to sum it up in the words to a song by the great country singer,Hank Williams Jr.:

"If heaven ain't a lot like DIXIE,
I don't wanna go."

THAT'S RIGHT,WEBHEADS!

I'm talking about none other than the one female indy wrestler whom I call "The Sexy Southern Belle":
DIXIE !

I have known Dixie for about 3 and 1/2 years and, without question,is one of the most talented wrestlers, male or female,on the Gulf Coast indy wrestling circuit.
She is also one whom I am very proud to call my friend!

Dixie's career started one day on her computer at her home in Mobile,AL about 4 years ago.
She was traveling through the information super highway,or the internet if you will, looking for some wrestling schools through various wrestling websites.
One wrestling school that caught Dixie's immediate attention was The Funking Conservatory in Ocala,FL that was run AND STILL IS run by the great, legendary wrestler and one of wrestling's most well respected "good will" ambassadors,Dory Funk Jr. (pictured on the right).

Dory Funk Jr.;
son of wrestling great Dory Funk and brother of Terry Funk (pictured with Dory on the right) from the famous Funk family, was at one time a former National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion.
In 1969,Dory Jr. defeated Canadian-born wrestler Gene Kiniski to win this prestigious crown.
He held that belt for 4 consecutive years until he was defeated by Harley Race in 1973;the 1st of 7 NWA World title reigns that Race would attain during his illustrious career.

Throughout his career,Dory Funk Jr.;who had a genuine love for the sport of professional wrestling, was a very skilled wrestler and one of wrestling's true great competitors.
He fought the likes of Abdullah The Butcher, the late Bruiser Brody,BlackJack Mulligan and,one of my personal all-time favorites,"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (pictured on the right).

His finishing maneuver
was a submission hold that both his father and brother used to win many a match in their successful wrestling careers, the dreaded and very painful spinning toe hold.

With all that being said, the golden opportunity for Dixie to be trained, mentored and tutored by the likes of one Dory Funk Jr.,was much too great an opportunity to pass up.

So,Dixie traveled to Ocala,FL to attend several of Dory Funk Jr.'s wrestling camps at The Funking Conservatory.
She learned a lot from this legendary wrestler.
In an interview that I conducted of Dixie for an April issue of Indy Divas Magazine, she said that the 1st ever headlock takedown that she ever did on anybody was Dory Funk Jr.!
It was something she can always say that she did and can also take great, tremendous pride in by doing so.

Within that year of training,
Dixie also worked for Dory Funk Jr.'s promotion called BANG! where on 3 occasions she won the BANG! Women's Championship (Dixie pictured holding her BANG ! Women's Championship on the right).
Dixie loved working for Dory Funk Jr'.s BANG ! promotion.
She said that she loved the whole atmosphere;kind of like a small WWE in regards to production and the whole spontaneity that went along with it.
According to Dixie, the BANG! promotion gave her a real, heads up idea about professional wrestling and what professional wrestling was truly all about.

After training and wrestling for Dory Funk Jr. and his promotion,Dixie returned back home to Mobile,AL
to continue to perfect her abilities and hone in on her ringmanship skills.
Here she was trained by the outstanding, very skilled and extremely talented Gulf Coast wrestler named Mercury McCloud at Sun Coast Championship Wrestling (pictured with Dixie on the right).

In Part Two to this Indy Diva profile on Dixie,I will be chronicling Dixie's career as a wrestler and as a manager for Sun Coast Championship Wrestling (SCCW).
Trust me,webheads, the story of Dixie is only going to get good from here!

BTW,to purchase a copy of the afforementioned April issue of Indy Divas magazine where I personally interviewed Dixie and wrote an article on her long time feud against her longtime arch rival,Zip,you can purchase your copy at:

"OPENING NIGHT AT THE SSW" in Fort Walton Beach,FL!

HELLO WEBHEADS !

Normally on a blog title similar to this one,one would like to think that the author to these words was talking about the opening to a play on Broadway;or maybe even perhaps an opening to a Vaudeville show.....

OH HELL TO THE NO !!!

I am talking about the opening night inaugural independent wrestling show Southern Stars Wrestling that took place last night (Saturday,September 2nd) at the Chester Pruitt Rec Center in Fort Walton Beach,FL.

Yours truly was extremely honored and was chosen by SSW to be the ring announcer for this opening night indy wrestling extravaganza..

I was as sharp as a blade on the microphone in additon to the nice, tailored threads that I wore on that night.Photo on the right by ringside photographer/indy wrestling fan,Lilbub.

The SSW had me running around all over the place in circles as they were trying to get their wrestling card assembled and running through the "spots".
I was going back and forth,in and out of the locker room as they were attempting to get all the vitals of every wrestler that was wrestling that night;namely their weights and their hometwon residences. Also, trying to getting the 50/50 raffle drawing situated.
From the getgo,we were somewhat discombobulated, but when all that was said and done, everything else was routine and the rest of the night moved like clockwork.

Also prior to the show commencing,I even sung an accapella rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner";our country's national anthem.
I,being a very proud American, was so very proud and honored to do that considering that on the local Gulf Coast wrestling circuit, something like this happening is not only unprecedented, but unheard of.
Once again,I was very proud and honored to do that with absolutely no regrets.
All the guys in the back and even the fans that were in attendance LOVED my performance!

There was some great wrestling action that occurred throughout the evening's festivities;including a non-stop,action packed 4 way dance between 4 very outstanding combatants:
"The Definition Of Technician" CHRIS TIGHE
"The Master Of Devastation" CAMERON FROST
"B.T.Y." COLBY GODWIN
and,a wrestler who made his triumphant return back to the squared circle,
SCOTTY RAYZ !

All 4 of these men pulled out all the stops and brought the roof down entertaining and taking the breath away the SSW audience with the many skills and the clockworkesque, precision maneuvers that each of them displayed onto each of their opponents.

Here was one move that captivated and enthralled the entire crowd;an unbelievable, unexplainable, quadruple, overhead belly-to-back suplex that you see displayed to the right to your screen.

Photo by: Gulf Coast indy wrestling fan and ringside photographer,Lilbub

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MATCH THAT 4 WAY DANCE WAS !!!
Chris Tighe won this very exciting match;however,I gotta tip my hat and salute all 4 of these men for the outstanding, breathtaking, remarkable encounter that all of them had!!!

This was a very special night for me,for SSW and the wrestling fans.
Of course,it was the 1st inaugural SSW show that ever took place, but a lot of my wrestlepals (friends) which included Lilbub,Buttonman and John "Madd Dawg" Tennesson were there.

But,two very special friends that were there to see me and the action in SSW were my lady friends (NOT MY GIRLFRIENDS,MIND YOU!):

"THE SIMPLY STUNNING PRINCESS" Kimberly (pictured to the left) & her best friend, the hellacious hottie known as "Miss HellKat";a.k.a Amy (pictured on the right).

I have known both of these ladies for about 7 years since back in the days when I started going to Gulf Coast indy wrestling shows when the both of them worked for Unified Championship Wrestling (UCW) over in Alabama.

Both of these lovely, young ladies both received their wrestling training under the tutelage from one of wrestling's most famous families known as the Armstrongs;Scott Armstrong (who is pictured on the right) and by local indy wrestler,"Awesome" Al Savage.

O.K.!FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT REMEMBERE AND USED TO SEE "AWESOME" AL SAVAGE BACK IN THE DAY WHEN HE WRESTLED,YOU CAN ALL START YOUR CHANT OF "AL-ICE" RIGHT NOW!!! LOL!

During their very short tenures in the wrestling business, these two beauties made quite a tandem both in & out of the ring as they were:

-Former Southern Pro Wrestling (SPW) tag team champions
-Former Southeastern Extreme Wrestling (SEW) tag team champions in BOTH the men's AND women's divisions!

They were managers/valets over in the Pensacola Wrestling Alliance (PWA) & also at the Pensacola Wrestling Federation (PWF).
Both were also managers, valets & ring girls for UCW.
MAN,DO I MISS THOSE UCW DAYS!!!

At one time in her career,
Amy/Miss HellKat (pictured on the right) was involved in a feud with "The First Lady Of Wrestling", MISSY HYATT !!!

BTW,just to let you know,I do run Kimberly's YAHOO ! group called:
MISS KIMBERLY'S PALACE

You can join her group by clicking here:
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/MissKimberlysPalace/

Both Amy's and Kim's wrestling careers unfortunately were cut short due to nagging injuries and other personal outside interests.
However recently, both of these ladies ALWAYS have an insatiable desire and interest to one day return to the squared circle in the roles of managers/valets.

LET ME TELL YOU;BETTER YET,LET ME CALL OUT EVERY WRESTLING PROMOTER THAT PROMOTES AND HAVE WRESTLING SHOWS IN THE GULF COAST AREA SOMETHING.....AND YOU GUYS KNOW WHO YOU ARE! (just like I said on the microphone when both of these ladies were in the ring with me at the SSW show last night):

SIGN BOTH OF THESE LADIES UP IN YOUR ORGANIZATIONS AND SIGN THEM UP QUICKLY BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T,IT WILL BE A HUGE LOSS FOR YOU,YOUR WRESTLING ORGANIZATION AND YOUR WRESTLING FANS !!!

Take it from me,all Gulf Coast wrestling promoters, these ladies have a great work ethic and both of them can bring a lot to your organizations, your wrestling audience and to your proverbial wrestling table!

BTW,promoters, you can get in touch with me in regards to Kim and Amy's availability
through my various "webs" of E-mail,internet and phone contacts.Just give me a holler,if you would please.

I invited Amy and Kim to accompany me to the ring after the 1st intermission.
It was very special day for Amy at the SSW show because it was her birthday!
The fans of the SSW and I sang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to her in honor of her birthday.
AMY ENJOYED IT VERY,VERY MUCH!
She thanked me and everybody in the audience for singing and wishing her a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

On a very sad and personal note, please keep Amy/Miss HellKat and her family in your thoughts and in your prayers.
Shortly than 24 hours after celebrating her birthday,Amy received some very sad and tragic news early Sunday morning (September 3rd) that her aunt had passed away......

All in all,it was great show for the SSW in Fort Walton Beach,FL.
A plethora of excitement and drama in all the matches that they had,not to mention the main event where T-Bolt,who took on and defeated "Redneck" Steve Fury, wrestled each other in a NO DISQUALIFICATION,NO TIME LIMIT match where both men fought inside the ring and outside by the concession stand and very close to the ringside seats.

We will certainly be hearing more from Southern Stars Wrestling in the weeks and in the months to come.

UNTIL NEXT TIME,WEBHEADS......
